About the event

Web Summit is a large annual technology conference held in Lisbon each November. It brings together startup founders, executives of large tech companies, investors, policymakers and journalists for several days of talks, content tracks, masterclasses, exhibitions and evening networking.

The programme spans many areas of technology, including AI, robotics, software, marketing, fintech and venture capital. Startups can apply to a dedicated programme to exhibit and meet investors, and there are separate tracks for investors, including LPs and venture firms, and for developers.

The same organiser also runs sister events in Rio, Qatar, Vancouver and Asia, but the Lisbon gathering is the original and largest edition of the series. Given its scale, it suits attendees who want broad exposure to the global tech ecosystem rather than a narrow focus on one niche.

Who should attend

Best suited to startup founders seeking investors, partners or press, as well as VCs and angels looking for deal flow across many sectors. App founders can use it to meet investors, find distribution and technology partners, and follow AI and product trends, though mobile apps and subscriptions are only a small part of a very broad agenda.
