About the event
Slush is a yearly startup and venture capital event in Helsinki, Finland. It is held over two days in November and is organised around founders. Thousands of startup teams, investors, journalists and partners from around the world attend.
The programme has talks and fireside conversations on several stages, with people who have built companies or invest in them. The main focus, though, is on meetings. Attendees use an online meeting tool to book one-to-one sessions between founders and investors. Around the main event there is a wider Slush week in the city, with an investor day, a founders day, many side events run by partners, and an afterparty.
The event covers technology startups in general and has no single sector focus. Software, deep tech, climate and consumer products all appear alongside each other.
Who should attend
Founders who are raising money or want to meet many international VCs and angels in a short time. App and software founders can book meetings with investors, compare notes with other early-stage teams and follow the European funding market. Investors and LPs attend to find deals and meet co-investors. The event is less useful for anyone who wants a mobile-specific programme.
