About the event
Nomad Summit is a conference series for digital nomads, indie hackers, freelancers and remote founders. It has run since 2015, with its flagship in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and further editions in places such as Tallinn. The next edition is in Chiang Mai in January 2027, and the organizer describes it as three days of talks, workshops and networking, followed by a longer community period called Nomad Week.
The program centers on building independent, location-free businesses: stories from founders who built remote-first companies, practical sessions for people turning freelance work into a product business, and hands-on building formats for technical attendees. The organizer's own materials address techies and builders, indie hackers and aspiring founders, and freelancers moving toward founding a company. Investors are also named among the people it brings together.
For app founders, this is mainly a learning, peer-network and community event rather than a deal venue. It suits solo makers and small teams who want contacts and ideas from other bootstrapped builders. The sources do not describe a formal marketplace, acquirer track or investor-meeting program, so any conversations with buyers or investors would be informal and depend on who you meet. The informal side, such as dinners and side events during Nomad Week, is a large part of the experience.

Best for solo developers, bootstrapped founders and freelancers building toward a product business who want peers rather than a trade-show floor. You get talks from remote-first founders, workshops and a large informal networking layer during the week around the conference.
Tips: if you plan to sell an app, prepare a one-minute summary of revenue, growth and what a buyer would take over, and ask other founders who have exited how they found buyers. If you want funding, ask attendees who identify as investors what stage they look at before pitching.
