About the event

KotlinConf is the official conference for the Kotlin language, run by JetBrains. The 2027 edition takes place in Kraków and is built around a workshop day followed by two conference days. The format combines technical sessions at different levels, open discussions, an expo, a coding challenge, networking and a party, and the JetBrains team behind Kotlin and its tools is available to talk with attendees.

The program focuses on Kotlin engineering. Workshop topics announced so far include coroutines, shared UI with Compose Multiplatform and practical Kotlin Multiplatform work for Android and iOS, so the event is relevant to teams that share code across mobile platforms. The full schedule is published closer to the date, and a call for speakers is open.

The organizer says the event brings together more than two thousand developers, and its partnership pitch speaks of meeting potential new team members. The sources do not describe investor meetings, app buyers or deal-making sessions, so this is mainly a learning and community event for engineers rather than a place to sell an app or raise money. Its value for founders is technical: following the direction of Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform, talking to library authors and tool makers, and finding engineers who build cross-platform mobile apps.

Who should attend

Suited to mobile engineers, tech leads and founders whose apps use or may adopt Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform for Android and iOS. Attendees get talks, workshops, and direct contact with the JetBrains team and other practitioners. It is a technical event, so do not expect a deal-making crowd. If you are preparing to sell an app, use the conversations to validate your architecture choices, since clean, maintainable shared code is easier to hand over to a buyer. Bring a short technical overview of your app to discuss with peers.
