About the event
droidcon London is a two-day in-person conference for Android developers, produced by Mobile Seasons GmbH, a Berlin-based company, and part of the wider droidcon event series. The London edition runs at the Business Design Centre in Islington, with a program shaped by a committee of engineers from the Android community.
The format combines conference talks with instructor-led hands-on workshops, a leadership summit aimed at staff and principal engineers and engineering managers of mobile teams, and unconference roundtables where attendees work through shared problems. Content is technical: engineering best practices, new tools and hands-on coding for building Android apps. Speakers for 2026 include developer relations engineers from Google and engineers from companies such as JetBrains, Meta, Airbnb, Stripe and OpenAI. The organizer expects around 800 Android developers, with 90 speakers and panelists and more than 80 sessions and workshops.
The audience is engineers, tech leads and mobile engineering managers, not app buyers or investors. The official site does not mention app acquirers, investors, funding or business tracks. For an app founder this is mainly a learning and community event: useful for staying current on the Android platform and meeting experienced engineers, but not a place to sell an app or raise capital.
Who should attend
Best suited to founders who build or run Android apps themselves, technical co-founders, and mobile engineering leads who want to sharpen their Android practice and meet senior engineers from large app companies. Expect technical depth rather than business or deal content.
If you are preparing to sell an app or raise money, use the event to ask senior engineers how they judge code quality and architecture, then tidy up your codebase and technical documentation, since buyers often review them during due diligence. Look for deal contacts at other events.
