About the event
droidCon India is the Indian edition of the droidcon Android developer conference series. The 2026 edition is the second one held in the country and runs for a single day at the Conrad hotel in Bengaluru. A separate flutterCon India takes place at the same venue the next day, and the organizers sell a combined ticket for both.
The program is built around Android engineering. The call for speakers lists more than 50 technical talks and workshops with codelabs. Announced themes include what is new in Android, on-device and agentic AI, AI-assisted engineering workflows and deeper Kotlin topics. The event page also mentions hands-on workshops, a leadership track for staff and principal engineers and engineering managers, and unconference roundtables.
The audience is made up of Android developers and mobile engineering leaders, with speakers coming from India, Asia, Africa, Europe and elsewhere. Nothing on the official pages describes investor meetings, buyer matchmaking or pitch sessions, so this is a learning and community event for mobile engineers rather than a place to make deals. It is useful to app founders mainly for hiring, technical benchmarking and meeting engineers who build on Android, and for seeing how teams in a large mobile market approach architecture and AI tooling.
Who should attend
Android developers, engineering managers and tech leads who want a one-day technical conference in Bengaluru, plus founders of Android apps who need to hire or compare engineering practices. Attendees get talks, workshops and roundtables, and can pair it with flutterCon India the next day.
Tips: if you are preparing to sell an app, use the roundtables to ask engineers what technical due diligence reviewers look at, and bring a short architecture overview of your codebase. If you plan to hire, prepare a clear description of your stack.
