About the event
Business of Apps London is a one-day conference on growing consumer apps, organized by the Business of Apps media company. It started in 2013 as App Promotion Summit London and now runs alongside sister events in New York and Berlin. The 2027 edition is set for 22 April at The Brewery.
The program runs on several stages, with main-stage talks, panels, practical workshops, boardroom sessions and an exhibition area. In 2026 the organizer counted eight content stages, more than 50 sessions and over 80 speakers. Topics included ASO, user acquisition, retention, engagement, onboarding, platform changes and AI, and a session with benchmarks from more than 115,000 subscription apps drew wide attention. A dedicated networking app was used for contacts and meetings.
The organizer counted more than 900 attendees in 2026. Over 73% came from apps, brands and mobile games, and most attendees either held or influenced budgets. Finance, health and fitness, travel, gaming and shopping were the top app categories in the room. Agencies, platforms and other service providers attend on separate ticket types.
For app founders this is mainly a learning and networking event about growth and monetization. The organizer does not describe investor or M&A programming, but the size and app-heavy audience make it a practical place to meet subscription app teams and monetization partners.
Who should attend
Suited to founders of consumer and subscription apps and to growth, product, CRM and monetization leads at app companies. In one day they get a broad view of current acquisition, retention and paywall practice, fresh benchmark data and many peers and partners.
Tips: set up meetings in the networking app before the day and look for monetization leads at apps in your category. If you are preparing to sell, bring clean figures on revenue, retention and churn so that peer conversations turn into useful feedback.
