About the event
Bits & Pretzels is an annual founders festival held in Munich during the Oktoberfest season. Over three days it brings together around 7,500 startup founders, investors, corporate representatives and other ecosystem players for talks, networking and business meetings.
The programme combines several stages with keynotes and panels, a startup exhibition with about 250 companies, a pitch corner, investor and LP matchmaking formats and the Golden Pretzel Award for promising young companies. A separate CIO AI Summit focuses on enterprise adoption of AI. The third day traditionally moves to the Oktoberfest grounds, where attendees are seated at tables hosted by experienced founders and investors, which makes informal networking a central part of the event. The festival covers the startup economy broadly rather than a single industry, with a strong European and German-speaking presence.
Who should attend
Suited to startup founders looking for funding, partners or customers, and to angels, VCs and LPs scouting European deal flow. App founders can use the matchmaking and Oktoberfest table format to meet investors and potential acquirers, though the content is general startup and tech rather than focused on mobile apps or subscriptions.
