About the event
Appdevcon is an app developer conference in Amsterdam, hosted by Dawn Technology and described as made by app developers for app developers. The next edition runs from 16 to 18 March 2027. The site describes several parallel tracks, with sessions for Android, iOS, web, TV and other developers, and the event runs alongside sister conferences from the same organizer, such as the Dutch PHP Conference and Webdevcon.
Past speakers include mobile engineers from large companies, indie developers and UX and accessibility specialists, and the schedule typically mixes technical talks with inspiration sessions. A call for presentations for 2027 is open, early bird tickets are on sale, and recordings of earlier sessions are published online.
The organizer lists companies whose developers have visited, mostly Dutch and European banks, retailers, media and technology firms. Community partners include Dutch Android, Kotlin, Flutter and iOS meetup groups. The sources do not mention investors, app buyers or matchmaking, so this is a learning and networking event for mobile developers rather than a deal-making venue. It is useful for founders who want to stay current on native and cross-platform practice, meet indie developers and hire or compare notes with engineers from established product teams.
Who should attend
Aimed at iOS, Android and cross-platform developers, engineering managers and founders of app companies who want multi-track technical content in one place. Attendees see talks from mobile engineers and indie developers and can network with peers from established companies. It is not a deal-focused event. If you plan to sell an app, use the hallway conversations to find developers who could take over maintenance, and prepare a clear summary of your stack and release process, which buyers often ask about.
