Flippa Alternatives for Selling a Subscription App
Compare Approck, Acquire.com, Empire Flippers, and TrustMRR by seller fit, fees, and the work you need help with before leaving Flippa.
The right Flippa alternative depends on what is missing from your current sale process: app-specific preparation, a different buyer audience, more hands-on support, or a different fee structure. A new listing will not by itself fix an unsupported asking price or an incomplete data room.
This guide is written by Approck, one of the options below. It is a shortlist by seller need, not an independent ranking or a claim that one platform wins every deal. Official sources were checked on September 15, 2026; amounts are in USD.
Which alternative should you shortlist?
- Approck: consider it for a subscription mobile app when you want help with valuation, buyer screening, and transfer coordination. Compare Approck and Flippa.
- Acquire.com: consider it for a software business that fits its startup/SaaS audience and acquisition-support model. Confirm acceptance of your particular app. Read the Acquire.com comparison.
- Empire Flippers: consider its broker process if the business meets its profit and operating-history requirements. Check app eligibility before preparing a submission. Read the Empire Flippers comparison.
- TrustMRR: consider it if you can connect a supported revenue provider and organize the remaining app diligence yourself. Read the TrustMRR comparison.
Compare costs without mixing service levels
Approck publishes a 7–10% seller success fee with no upfront charge. Acquire.com publishes closing-fee tiers plus monthly listing fees. Empire Flippers uses a minimum commission and blended tiers. TrustMRR splits its platform and escrow fees between the parties. Use the linked comparisons and official pricing pages for the applicable amounts.
Request a quote for the same expected sale price and ask what it includes. Count listing renewals, closing fees, payment costs, and any work you must buy separately. A lower platform fee can suit a seller who can handle preparation and negotiations; a broader service may suit someone who cannot.
When staying with Flippa may make sense
Flippa supports auction and classified formats. If those suit your asset and you can handle inquiries, first examine the listing itself. Does it distinguish revenue from profit? Can buyers see a credible operating history? Are the asking price and included assets clear? Moving the same weak presentation to another marketplace may leave the same objections unresolved.
Before moving an existing listing
- Review your current agreement for exclusivity, cancellation, renewals, and obligations concerning buyers already introduced. Do not assume moving a listing removes a fee obligation.
- Prepare consistent monthly financials. Separate gross subscription revenue, store proceeds, advertising, infrastructure, and operating profit. Use the same reporting period across the materials.
- List what changes hands: app, source code, backend, domains, designs, and relevant service dependencies. Check the proposed app-transfer path before promising a closing date.
- Ask the next platform who prepares the buyer materials, screens inquiries, handles negotiations, and coordinates each transfer step.
Start with our app valuation tool and due diligence checklist. For a managed sale discussion, see selling your app with Approck. If you are still building a shortlist, read the marketplace selection guide or Acquire.com alternatives.

Sell Your AppFrequently asked questions
What is the best Flippa alternative for an iOS subscription app?
Shortlist by the support you need. Approck focuses on mobile apps; Acquire.com, Empire Flippers, and TrustMRR have different audiences, eligibility rules, and service scopes. Compare your actual app and written quotes.
Can I advertise on several marketplaces at once?
Check the agreements first, including exclusivity and obligations to buyers introduced by a platform. Keep price, data, and availability consistent wherever permitted listings remain active.
Will switching marketplaces increase my valuation?
Not automatically. Price still depends on the business, financial evidence, buyer demand, and the terms of the deal.
