About the event
MicroConf Europe is the European edition of MicroConf, the conference series for self-funded software founders. It is a two-day event for bootstrapped and indie-funded startups with an emphasis on SaaS, and it focuses on profitability and long-term ownership rather than fundraising. The 2027 edition returns to Dubrovnik, Croatia, from October 3 to 5 at Hotel Dubrovnik Palace on the Lapad peninsula.
The schedule follows the usual MicroConf pattern: a welcome reception on the first evening, general sessions in the mornings, one afternoon of curated group excursions, one afternoon of sessions and workshops, and a reception every evening. Speakers are founders who are building and scaling SaaS companies themselves, and the program covers practical growth toward seven- and eight-figure annual revenue. Speakers for 2027 have not been announced yet.
The organizer reports more than 200 attendees from over 30 countries, with more than half attending for the first time. The group is kept small so that people can talk at length, and the organizer treats conversations over coffee and dinner as a core part of the event.
For app founders this is a learning and community event for independent SaaS businesses, not a mobile or M&A conference, and the site does not mention acquirers. It suits founders of subscription software in Europe who want peers with similar business models.
Who should attend
Suited to bootstrapped founders of SaaS and other subscription software from Europe and beyond, including app founders with recurring revenue who prefer profit to venture funding. They get practical growth lessons and time with a small group of experienced peers.
Tips: buy early and book the conference hotel, since attendees stay where the event happens. If an exit is on your horizon, prepare clear figures on recurring revenue, churn and margins, and ask peers which buyers or brokers they would trust.
